NATIONAL ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS 28 -29TH JUNE 2008, Duncombe Park, Helmsley, North Yorkshire |

Partners
Once again the National Road Race Championships return to Yorkshire roads and in particular to Helmsley where the Championships were last held in 2005. Since then Helmsley and Duncombe Park the home of Lord and Lady Feversham have maintained cycling links via the Ryedale Grand Prix, Premier Calendar Road Race.
Back in 2005 the Championships were held in the aftermath of severe flooding that hit Helmsley during the previous weekend, overcoming this challenge made for a memorable occasion, truly a testament to local resolve. The Championships at Beverley in 2007 were however less fortunate, same problem but a challenge too far this time. So fingers crossed that 2008 will bring us some proper seasonal weather and a Championship series to remember.
Promoters are again British Cycling Yorkshire Region in partnership with VC York and other York based cycling clubs and the weekend will be a key feature in the Yorkshire Festival of Cycling that has now been extended to a season long format of major events.
